People with Special Needs ARE Succeeding with Site Build It!

by Jarrod Roby

Hi Elad, I wanted to write and tell you and Anna that people with special needs are succeeding with SBI! I have Cerebral Palsy and I also have a successful SBI! website. In fact, I just made it onto the results.sitesell.com site for the first time, which is totally awesome! My website is www.astronomy-for-kids-online.com if you'd like to check it out.

If I can succeed with SBI!, then I have every confidence that Anna's son can as well.

Take care,

Jarrod Roby

To Boldly Go...
by: Elad

I'm so glad you wrote, Jarrod.

You have really put together a super galactic site ;-) And your personal story is (and will continue to be) an inspiration to many, I'm sure.

I have, in fact, visited your site before and remember being very impressed by the wealth of information there. My father was a scientist and worked many years for NASA so we always had a connection with different aspects of space. (He was also a Star Trek addict and an avid Trekkie himself!)

I have learned so much on this trip to Canada. And not just about building Web sites. It's still all sinking in. There's this one page on Anna's site that explains exactly what Cerebral Palsy is. It's an excellent short article, especially for people like myself who have (had) misconceptions about CP. I've heard about CP many times, probably studied about it in school, met people with CP, but never really took the time to grasp exactly what it means. My meetings with Anna and then with the guy over at Dawson College left a very strong impression on me. And your message here just ties it all together perfectly.

It's the perfect ending to the story. Or, should I say, it's just the beginning of a voyage "to boldly go where no man has gone before..."

Site Build It! - The Next Generation

Wishing you the very best,

Elad

You see what happens to a child who grows up with a Trekkie Dad :-)

Another Inspiration
by: Anna

Hi Jarrod!

Just wanted to let you know that you've given me a real boost!

I wonder sometimes, like all parents, whether I don't expect too much of my kids. Here I am hoping for a specific future for my 8 year old with cerebral palsy, on the assumption that he'll be able to handle it just fine.

And now, reading your message, and checking out your great site, confirms that my dreams aren't just wishful thinking - they are very doable and a great opportunity for him and his brother (now 6).

He's already excited about using a computer with an adapted keyboard in the school environment, and we're working on getting him a keyguard to use on the new adaptive keyboard I just recently bought him (with money earned from my SBI site, TheSpecialLife.com).

Once he has that, he'll be on his way to finally being free to express exactly what is on his mind to anyone who can read. For the first time, we'll know what he's thinking. I am so looking forward to discover more of him, and I bet he can't waite to tell us either.

Seeing your site, and knowing how bright and curious and social my little guy is and wants to be, I have no doubt that he'll be able to pull off at least one, if not many, SBI sites of his own.

Thanks so very much for sharing.

SBI! is truly liberating...
by: Mon Desiderio

Hi Elad,

I'm Mon Desiderio and I have been reading your SBI stories for quite sometime now and has recently bumped into your sbi adventure site...

I am also now nearing the road to an SBI website of my own. I am from the Philippines, a beautiful tropical country. It saddens me that most of my countrymen has only but one solution when it comes to earning more; which, is working abroad and enduring the sad life away from their families for the rest of their working lives.

The story of Jarrod Roby simply stunned me, giving me a reason to post this comment... SBI! is truly liberating internet experience!

In the coming days, I will be investing in SBI!
I'm a professional but I'm not a corporate person, I'm an entrepreneur at core. My aunt, who is based in Australia has been inviting me over to work there. I want to go to other countries to travel, not to work. My girl friend has a pending application to immigrate to Canada. I want my SBI! business to profit before her application will be approved. Because, with SBI! we can choose anywhere we want to live when we're already married. I don't want us to work abroad or even locally for someone else for the rest of our lives; I believe we can have better lives by having our own online businesses...

Before parting; I'd like to congratulate Jarrod Roby of www.astronomy-for-kids-online.com for his success with SBI!

Mon Desiderio
(no site yet... hehe)
