The Walking Kids!

Elad, Thank you so much for sharing your adventures in SBI land. What a story teller you are!

On a purely visceral level yours is a moving and energizing story for a fellow SBI'er. I could not stop reading once I started down your story path - even though it was late on a Saturday evening after a hard several hours working in the garden (not always easy for a 'retired' granddad).

On a personal level it is great to 'see' a lot of the great folks again we met on the cruise in January and put faces to others we know only via email or the forums. And of course having traveled a fair bit in that area of my homeland, being able to verify the 'playing field'!

You don't mention if Don shared Amel's (the dyanmo) nickname with you - 'html' :-)

You are quite right in your assessment that SBI'ers are amazing people and it is a special privilege to know and be a part of the family.

On an educational and insight level there are so many examples of great ideas and methodology shown in just this site it is amazing. Thank you. What wonderful ways to integrate much of what we learn into a very personal, inviting and 'natural' way. And you do a great job of reviewing what SBI is all about without ever saying - 'run out and buy it right now!'

We do hope you spend a teensy bit of time on the forum long enough to get the details on the SBI gathering tentatively slated for May of '09 in your neck of the woods - likely Spain or Italy. We would love to have the SBI Rock Star join the group :-)

All the best Elad.

Storytelling...
by: Elad

Hi Yoko and Geoff!

It's great to see some more real, smiling faces. I visited British Columbia about 15 years ago with my parents. And even then, as a teenager who was probably more interested in "teenagerettes" than scenery, I remember how beautiful everything was around me.

Thank YOU for reading my adventure. It makes me so happy to see that what I've written has an effect on others. To me, the essence of storytelling is not to tell a story so that others will remember it. The essence is to tell a story so that others will remember what they FELT while they listened to it. Where it took them, what memories it rekindled? That's storytelling to me.

You're right, I don't tell anyone to "run out and buy SBI right now". On the contrary, I want people to know that SBI! works, but I want them to take their time because it'll work only if they are willing to work - really hard!

I'm gonna go take a walk now :-)

Elad
